Day 1
Arrival in York
Upon arriving in York, make your way to the hotel and check in. Spend the rest of the day exploring the charming streets of the city at your leisure.
-
Day 2
Tales of Wild Yorkshire Moors & Whitby
It's time to step beyond the ancient walls of York and discover what lies beyond. Today, you'll explore the beauty of the Yorkshire Moors, where rolling heather, hidden valleys, and ever-changing skies have fired the imagination of generations of writers. Your day begins with a visit to Hutton-le-Hole. With its red-roofed cottages, sheep grazing on village greens, and a gently flowing stream, this picture-perfect spot encourages you to slow the pace. Enjoy a short break for refreshments, stroll the cobbled lanes, or make a brief visit to the open-air Ryedale Folk Museum, where historic buildings offer a glimpse into the past.
Leaving the village behind, you travel deeper into the Moors — a vast, open landscape Alfred Wainwright described as "a wilderness for the soul," where space and freedom seem endless. Your next destination, the lively seaside town of Whitby, adds another chapter: Bram Stoker stayed here while writing Dracula, drawing inspiration from the towering cliffs, busy harbour, and unmistakably gothic mood. You'll have free time to explore Whitby's winding streets, enjoy classic fish and chips, visit the Abbey ruins, and absorb the atmospheric setting that helped shape Dracula.
From here, the journey continues to Robin Hood's Bay, a fishing village known for its narrow lanes, historic cottages, smuggling folklore, and stunning views across the North Sea. Then comes a touch of magic: a short stop at Goathland Station, famous as Hogsmeade Station in the Harry Potter films. After a few photos, the journey continues with visits to the legendary Hole of Horcum — said to have been carved by a giant — and the charming market town of Pickering, before heading back to York.

Day 3
The Heart of the Yorkshire Dales
Today you're going to uncover the beauty of Yorkshire Dales National Park — the land full of wild beauty and pastoral charm, where sweeping hills, rugged moorland, and dreamy valleys stretch as far as the eye can see. Your first stop is the picturesque village of Pateley Bridge, nestled between rolling hills and wild moors. This delightful spot encourages you to slow your pace and enjoy life's simple pleasures. Stroll cobbled lanes edged with stone cottages and classic pubs, or wander into England's Oldest Sweet Shop to sample nostalgic confections delighting visitors since 1827.
From there, continue to the market town of Grassington, a place that feels lifted straight from the pages of a fairytale — often called the "beating heart of the Yorkshire Dales." The drive carries on through the breathtaking Dales to Hawes, a welcoming market town best known as the home of legendary Wensleydale Cheese. Enjoy free time for lunch and be sure to wander Hawes' inviting streets.
Next, visit Aysgarth Falls, a dramatic three-tiered cascade admired for more than two centuries and famously featured in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Your day concludes at the evocative ruins of Jervaulx Abbey, where the quiet echoes of history drift through this 12th-century Cistercian monastery. After a day filled with the landscapes, flavours, and stories of the Yorkshire Dales, you make your way back to York.
