The tour ends at approximately 17:00 at the Tower of London. On Wednesdays, the tour will finish at the London Eye instead.
-
Day 4
Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath
Discover four of England's most iconic destinations on a full-day tour from London. Travel in comfort by coach as you explore the royal grandeur of Windsor Castle, uncover the ancient mystery of Stonehenge, and stroll through the elegant Georgian city of Bath before visiting the remarkable Roman Baths.
Begin your tour at Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and a favourite weekend residence of the British monarchy. Set on a wooded hill overlooking the River Thames, this historic royal residence dates back nearly 1,000 years to the time of William the Conqueror. Step inside the magnificent State Apartments, adorned with masterpieces by artists such as Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci. Visit St George's Chapel, the final resting place of monarchs including Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth II. You can also explore Queen Mary's Dolls' House, an extraordinary miniature palace complete with working lifts, electricity, and even tiny bottles of wine.
Next, head to Stonehenge, one of the world's most famous prehistoric monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located on Salisbury Plain. Walk around the mysterious stone circle and marvel at the massive stones that have stood for over 5,000 years. Archaeologists continue to uncover the secrets of this ancient site, believed to have served as a ceremonial temple, astronomical calendar, or burial ground.
Continue to Bath, renowned for its elegant Georgian architecture and rich history. Set along the River Avon, Bath is also a popular filming location and was the first city in England to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take time to admire highlights such as Bath Abbey, sweeping Georgian terraces, and the picturesque Pulteney Bridge — one of the few bridges in the world lined with shops.
Finally, visit the Roman Baths, one of the best-preserved Roman spa complexes in the world. Built around Britain's only natural hot spring, this ancient site remained hidden for centuries before being rediscovered in the 19th century. Walk through the atmospheric ruins, see the steaming Great Bath, and learn how the Romans transformed this sacred site into a thriving centre of relaxation and social life nearly 2,000 years ago.
After a day exploring England's royal, prehistoric, and classical heritage, relax on the return journey to London, arriving at approximately 8:00 PM.
