Stonehenge & Exeter
Departing central London, you'll travel through Wessex, an ancient kingdom, toward the historic city of Winchester—once the capital of Anglo-Saxon England. Famous for Alfred the Great, its magnificent cathedral, and the Norman Great Hall, Winchester is rich in history. Discover its highlights: the breathtaking Winchester Cathedral, King Arthur's Round Table in the Great Hall, and charming cobbled streets lined with timber-framed houses.
After some free time for lunch (not included), head to Stonehenge, one of the world's most iconic Neolithic sites. Explore its mysteries at the visitor center, then continue on to Devon, known for its stunning beaches, countryside, and Dartmoor National Park, before arriving in Exeter for the night.
Enjoy free time in Exeter, where you can explore its Roman walls, Norman castle, Gothic cathedral, and lively quayside. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the river or visit a local pub, like The Old Firehouse or The Exeter Arms.

Day 2
Dartmoor
We depart Exeter and head into Dartmoor National Park, towards Widecombe-in-the-Moor. Look out for wild ponies grazing and unique rock formations along the way. Our first stop is Widecombe-in-the-Moor, a quaint village surrounded by hills and ancient stone tors. Wander through its streets, admire St Pancras Church, and take in the peaceful atmosphere. Next, we drive through Dartmoor's expansive scenery to Clapper Bridge, a historic stone structure. We then stop in Tavistock for free time for lunch (not included), where you can try the famous cream tea said to have been invented here.
In Tavistock, enjoy a delicious cream tea with fresh scones, clotted cream, and jam. Afterward, explore the Georgian and Victorian streets, and visit the ruins of Tavistock Abbey. We'll then return to Exeter, where you can visit the stunning Exeter Cathedral, known for its soaring vaults and intricate stained-glass windows, which have stood for over 900 years.
After exploring Exeter Cathedral, enjoy a free evening to discover the city. Have a meal at one of the local restaurants or relax in a cozy pub as the city's vibrant atmosphere comes to life.

Day 3
Cornwall & Tintagel Castle
Travel through Cornwall, beginning in Boscastle, a charming coastal fishing village known for its narrow streets and working harbor. Continue to Tintagel Castle, where dramatic ruins are steeped in the legends of King Arthur, offering a fascinating glimpse into history. Next, visit Port Isaac, a picturesque village you may recognize from the TV series Doc Martin. Finally, arrive in Falmouth for a two-night stay.
-
Day 4
St Michael's Mount & Minack Theatre
Today, we travel to the westernmost tip of England, where Cornwall meets the wild beauty of the Atlantic Ocean. This rugged region is famous for its dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and landscapes that have inspired generations. Our first stop is Long Rock Beach, offering stunning views of St Michael's Mount, a tidal island with a medieval castle, village, and beautiful gardens, all steeped in history. We then continue to the Minack Theatre, perched above the roaring sea. Built in the 1930s by Rowena Cade, this incredible theatre showcases her vision and creativity. Please note that a visit may not always be possible, but your guide will keep you informed.
Next, we visit Land's End, the southernmost point of England, where the dramatic cliffs offer breathtaking views. Below, the waters are said to hide the legendary 'Lost Land of Lyonesse' from Arthurian legend. We then pass through landscapes marked by Cornwall's tin mining history, famously featured in Poldark, before reaching St Ives. Here, you can enjoy the turquoise waters and savor classic fish and chips on the golden sands. Finally, we return to Falmouth, closing another unforgettable day on the Cornish coast.
In the evening, enjoy free time in Falmouth. Treat yourself to a Cornish pasty and wash it down with a refreshing pint of local Cornish cider.

Day 5
Bodmin Moor, Glastonbury & Return to London
Leaving Falmouth, your driver-guide takes you through Bodmin Moor, a vast expanse of rugged heathland, scattered with historic standing stones and weathered tors. Next, we stop at Jamaica Inn, a historic inn made famous by Daphne du Maurier's novel, steeped in tales of smugglers and mystery. Explore the museum to learn about the area's smuggling past, or enjoy a quick refreshment before we move on.
We then head to Glastonbury, a town known for its music festival and deep connections to King Arthur and the Holy Grail. Stroll through its charming streets, enjoy some free time for lunch (not included), and, for Arthurian enthusiasts, visit Glastonbury Tor, said to be the site of the mythical Avalon. Afterward, we begin our journey back to London.
As you approach the iconic skyline of the capital, you'll carry with you the magic of the southwest—its breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and unforgettable memories—ready to see London from a new perspective.

What should I expect from a B&B?
B&Bs are traditionally small family owned and run properties offering a handful of guest rooms. They are usually residential properties, so they tend to be located on the outskirts of towns and you should be prepared for a 20–30 minute walk to local facilities like pubs and restaurants.
It's unusual for a B&B to offer any additional services like concierge, porterage, evening meals or room-service. Wi-fi is usually, but not always available and it's worth bearing in mind that access can be unreliable in more remote locations.
If you have difficulty with stairs, please request a ground-floor room (subject to availability, upon request only) as lifts will not be available in this type of property.
