5-Day Classical Tour of Greece and Nauplion Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Athens – Corinth Canal – Theatre of Epidauros – Nauplion

    In the morning, you will be picked up from the main hotels in Athens and commence your journey along the coastal road towards the Corinth Canal. There will be a short stop before continuing on to the renowned Theatre of Epidauros, celebrated for its exceptional acoustics. Subsequently, we will proceed to the charming town of Nauplion. The afternoon will be at your leisure, providing you with free time to explore.

  2. Day 2

    Mycenae – Archaeological Site – Tomb of Agamemnon – Olympia

    Enjoy a leisurely morning before embarking on our journey. We will set off around 12:30 to explore Mycenae, where we will have the opportunity to visit the Archaeological Site and the renowned Tomb of Agamemnon. Our tour continues as we make our way to Olympia, passing through the Central Peloponnese region and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the historic birthplace of the Olympic Games.

  3. Day 3

    Archaeological Site of Olympia – Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus – Corinthian Bay – Delphi

    Begin your day by exploring the Archaeological Site featuring the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. Afterward, embark on a scenic drive across the plains of Ilia and Achaia until you reach the bridge that spans the Corinthian Bay, connecting Rion and Antirion. Along the way, you will pass by the charming towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea before finally arriving at Delphi.

  4. Day 4

    Delphi Archaeological Site & Museum – Kalambaka – Meteora

    During the morning, explore the Archaeological Site and Museum of Delphi. Afterwards, embark on a journey towards Kalambaka, a charming town nestled at the base of Meteora, a collection of colossal rock formations. Spend the night there.

  5. Day 5

    Meteora – Trikala – Lamia – Thermopylae – Athens

    Experience the breathtaking beauty of Meteora, where ancient Monasteries are perched atop enormous rocks, creating a mesmerizing illusion of suspension in mid-air. These Monasteries house magnificent examples of Byzantine art, offering a glimpse into their exquisite craftsmanship. On the return journey to Athens, pass through Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae, with a brief stop to admire the Leonidas Monument across the road. Expect to arrive in Athens early evening.

    Please note that for the visit to the Monastery, ladies are required to wear skirts, while gentlemen should wear long trousers. Clients staying along the coast will depart for their hotels from the G.O. terminal at approximately 19:30 hrs.
