Day 3
Naples Walking Tour & Street Food Experience
Your day tour begins at the Duomo di Napoli — officially the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta but known as the Duomo di San Gennaro. From here, walk along Via dei Tribunali, one of the city's liveliest streets filled with shops, cafés, and local charm. Taste the traditional Tarallo Napoletano, a spicy almond cookie, at the oldest bakery of the city. Continue to San Gregorio Armeno, the famous "street of nativity scenes," where artisans handcraft detailed cribs and figurines. Visit a historic workshop and receive a lucky Neapolitan Corno.
Next, step into the peaceful Chiesa di Santa Chiara, a Gothic church and monastery with a small museum and library. Nearby, in Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, admire one of Naples' most beautiful squares, framed by the Gesù Nuovo Church and the ornate Guglia dell'Immacolata. Walk along Spaccanapoli and stop in Piazza San Domenico Maggiore to try a cuoppo napoletano. Then visit the elegant Galleria Umberto I, a 19th-century glass-domed arcade, and the historic Teatro San Carlo, the world's oldest working opera house. Finally, stroll down Via Toledo toward Piazza del Plebiscito, explore the colourful Spanish Quarters, and end your day with a folded pizza portafoglio, followed by a baba or sfogliatella with Neapolitan espresso.
-
Day 4
Pompeii and Sorrento
Your day starts with a scenic drive from Naples to Pompeii for a 2.5-hour guided tour. Enter through Porta Marina and explore the Forum — Pompeii's political and commercial center. Walk along Via dell'Abbondanza with its shops and chariot tracks, visit the Theater District, the bath complex, the colourful Lupanare, and a Thermopolium — an ancient street food stop. See the grand House of the Faun with its famous Alexander Mosaic, the bustling Macellum market, and the haunting plaster casts of Pompeii's final moments.
Continue to Sorrento for a relaxed afternoon on the coast. Begin with a guided walk from lively Piazza Tasso through the historic center. Admire the green gorge of Vallone dei Mulini, the ornate Cathedral of Sorrento, and the romantic Cloister of San Francesco. At Villa Comunale, take in stunning Bay of Naples views. Discover the local art of wood inlay, then enjoy free time for lunch, shopping, or soaking up Sorrento's coastal beauty before returning to Naples.

Day 5
Day at Leisure or Optional Herculaneum Guided Walking Tour
Today you have a free day to explore Naples on your own, or you may join the optional Herculaneum Guided Walking Tour (not included – can be added at the time of booking).

Smaller than Pompeii yet astonishingly well-preserved, Herculaneum provides an intimate window into daily Roman life. Buried beneath the volcanic debris of Vesuvius's eruption in AD 79, the town's villas, workshops, wooden structures, and brilliantly coloured frescoes remain in remarkable condition. You meet your expert guide on site, and as you stroll through the ancient streets — past elegant homes, public baths, and bustling commercial spaces — your guide brings each step of the city to life with vivid storytelling and insightful historical context. This experience is perfect for lovers of history and culture, and for anyone seeking a moving journey through time, beauty, and memory.
