8-Day Absolute Baltic Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Welcome to Vilnius

    You arrive in Vilnius and transfer to your hotel — an optional airport transfer is available. Check in, then join the welcome meeting to meet your group and tour guide.

  2. Day 2

    Exploring Vilnius & Optional Trakai Tour

    After breakfast, a local guide leads a panoramic city tour followed by a walk through Vilnius Old Town, passing its historic churches and landmarks. From there, you can join an optional excursion to Trakai Castle (not included).

    In the evening, an optional folklore dinner with local food and entertainment is available (not included).

  3. Day 3

    Vilnius to Riga via Hill of Crosses & Rundale Palace

    After breakfast, the coach departs for Riga. The first stop is the Hill of Crosses, a sacred Catholic pilgrimage site, followed by a guided tour of Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland, after crossing into Latvia. From there you continue through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia, arriving in Riga by late afternoon for hotel check-in.

  4. Day 4

    Discovering Riga's Historic Landmarks

    This morning a guided walking tour covers Riga's Old Town, including Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds, and the Freedom Monument.

    In the afternoon you can join an optional excursion to Jurmala, the seaside resort known for its wooden architecture (not included). In the evening, an organ concert at the Dome Cathedral is optional (not included).

  5. Day 5

    Optional Exploration: Gauja National Park, Sigulda

    This morning you can join an optional tour to Gauja National Park and Sigulda, taking in the Rose of Turaida legend, the Episcopal Castle ruins, and the Castle of the Knights of the Sword, before returning to Riga (not included).

    In the afternoon, an optional visit to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum is available (not included). In the evening, an optional Latvian dinner at Restaurant Kalku Varti rounds out the day (not included).

  6. Day 6

    Parnu, North Estonia, Tallinn

    After breakfast, the coach travels the coastal highway to Parnu, Estonia's summer resort, for a brief visit. From there you continue north through the forests of North Estonia, arriving in Tallinn in the early afternoon for hotel check-in.

  7. Day 7

    Explore Tallinn's History

    This morning a guided tour takes you through Tallinn's medieval walls to Toompea Castle, Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Old Town Hall, and the Great Guild Hall.

    In the afternoon you can join an optional tour to Kadriorg Park and the KUMU Art Museum (not included). In the evening, an optional dinner at Restaurant Maikrahv is available (not included).

  8. Day 8

    Departure from Tallinn

    After breakfast, check out of the hotel. An optional transfer to Tallinn Airport is available for an additional fee.
