Highlights

This 10-day journey tells the story of Israel from the Mediterranean coast to the Galilee and the Golan Heights before settling into Jerusalem. You'll spend a free day exploring Tel Aviv at your own pace, walk through the Roman ruins of Caesarea, take in the Baha'i Gardens in Haifa, learn about the Kabbalists in Tzfat (Safed), and stand on the Golan Heights with views over Mount Hermon and Syria.

Four days are then devoted to Jerusalem — from the Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall tunnels and the City of David, to Yad Vashem, the Israel Museum, Mahane Yehuda Market and a Kabbalat Shabbat service at the Western Wall — with a government-licensed guide on every touring day.

  • Enjoy a full free day in Tel Aviv to explore its beaches, restaurants, museums, shopping and UNESCO-recognized architecture at your own pace
  • Visit the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot and walk through Caesarea, the ancient Mediterranean port city built by King Herod 2,000 years ago
  • Wander the historic streets of Zichron Yaacov and take in views of Haifa Bay and the Baha'i Gardens from the Louis Promenade
  • Taste Israeli wine in the Galilee, explore Rosh Pina founded in 1878, and walk the ancient streets of Tzfat (Safed) to learn about the Kabbalists and visit an artist's studio
  • Go bird watching in the Hula Valley nature reserve at the HaHula Tourism Complex, a major migratory bird center
  • Drive to Mount Bental on the Golan Heights for panoramic views of Upper Galilee, Mount Hermon and Syria, and watch the 3D film at Golan Magic
  • Tour a Golan Olive Oil Mill to learn about production from ancient times to today, and stop at Mitzpe Gadot for views over the Hula Valley
  • Visit the Tel Hai Museum and Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee), then experience the Gesher light and sound show in the Jordan Valley
  • Explore Jerusalem's Old City — the restored Jewish Quarter, the Western Wall, colorful bazaars, and the City of David with a VR film and a wet walk through Warren's Shaft and Hezekiah's Tunnel
  • Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial including the Valley of the Communities, and the Israel Museum's Shrine of the Book housing the Dead Sea Scrolls
  • Browse Mahane Yehuda Market and join Kabbalat Shabbat at the Western Wall as the Jewish Sabbath begins
